Students’ perceptions towards native and non-native english speaker teachers

There was an argument that native English teachers have many advantages than non-native and students preferred to teachers; however, the had be assessed. Many researchers been exploring students’ perceptions of worldwide in formal education institutions. This study aimed explore a non-formal institution. qualitative based on descriptive approach conducted using three instruments: close-ended questionnaire, semi-structured interview, documentation. The revealed their own specific roles Indonesian context. Students needed more because latter were bilingual having same mother tongue as them, they enabled successful learning process effective strategies shared. Also, helped deal with difficulties challenges process.
